Glass Vial Integrity Inspection
Machine
Glass vials were inspected for three types of fault
at three separate test stations. Each station
comprised of a vision system (programmed by others)
which interfaced with the PLC. Vials that failed the
inspection were aborted accordingly.
The system was based on a Siemens S7/300 PLC and
Siemens OP7 operator panel.
Torque Test Rig
Applied Logic Systems updated an existing torque
test rig, used to check the torque tolerances of the
tolerance rings used in car steering locks. We
replaced the existing motion controller with a
Baldor Nextmove ESB servo motion controller. We
commissioned a new Visual Basic front-end and the
new servo controller software. |
